![]() Third order NLO parameters like nonlinear absorption coefficient, refractive index nonlinear and nonlinear susceptibility of LLPC crystals were analysed by Z-scan method. The Second harmonic generation efficiency of the title material was tested using Kurtz and Perry experimental technique which reveals that L-Leucine potassium chloride crystal is the potential candidate for nonlinear optical applications. The linear optical properties of the grown LLPC crystals were studied by recording the UV–Vis-NIR spectrum in the range 200–1100 nm. The structure creates a highly anisotropic environment for light transmitted through the crystal, and causes their special properties. The FT-IR spectroscopic studies reveal the various functional groups of the sample. Compared to typical anorganic metals, semiconductors and insulators, the NLO materials have more complicated crystal structures with lower symmetry. The single crystal XRD analysis shows that the grown crystal has monoclinic structure and X-ray powder diffraction study indicates the crystalline nature of the compound. #Nlo properties of crystals pdfL-Leucine potassium chloride (LLPC) crystals have been synthesized and grown by cost effective slow evaporation technique in water as a solvent. Request PDF Structure and NLO property relationship in a novel chalcone co-crystal Single crystals of a chalcone co-crystal (C18H19NO4/C17H16NO3Br 0.972/0.028) have been grown by slow. Among various class of organic NLO materials, amino acids and their derivatives were treated exclusively due to their comprehensive features such as, zwitterionic nature providing the material hardness, ground state charge symmetry due to the presence of amino group for protonation and carboxylic group for deprotonation, etc. Nonlinear optical (NLO) crystals assembled with conventional non-conjugated tetrahedral functional building units (FBUs), generally referring to PO 4 and BO 4, usually exhibit weak nonlinearity and poor birefringence.
